When Sigma starts, you are presented with the GUI as shown below (the numbers 1 through 4 in red circles refer to the four major areas of the interface as discussed below):

The GUI is divided into four areas:

1. Menu Bar

2. Tool Bar

3. Side Bar

4. Data Area
